VERNON OPENSHAW

Project Manager

A University of Manchester graduate with more than 40 years’ experience in Community Development, Vernon currently manages the DSD’s Social and Behaviour Change Programme for HIV, AIDS, STIs and TB.

He is a Facilitator and Trainer who has contributed to the Global Fund project in South Africa to train people with disabilities as Peer Supporters. He also provides Sexual Reproductive Health information and education to people with disabilities in their communities.

Vernon has many years of experience in project management, financial management, and HR development (especially that of staff and volunteers). Besides, he has significant experience in administration and budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, mobilising community participation, facilitation of focus groups, training/mentoring, and writing business plans.

JACQULI KATHLEEN KASCHULA

Project Coordinator

A Monash University graduate with a Bachelors in Public Health (Cum Laude). Jacquli has provided assistance and worked on projects such as the DSD/SANAC Social and Behaviour Change programme for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases, UNFPA Jordan Country Office international consultation for Disability Inclusion, and the National Department of Health’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Training Package for healthcare personnel. 

She was Project Lead for the Her Voice Fund project focused on data collection and research for adolescent girls and young women with disabilities advocacy. Her passions lie in research, with focus on women and children and people with disabilities. Jacquli started out as an intern with ARRC,  however soon became Project Coordinator.
